Dr. Gervais Fréchette is a family practitioner who specializes in aesthetic treatments. He graduated from The University of Montreal in 1987 and in 1996 his passion for medicine brought him to New York City. He opened a second practice in San Francisco in 2004 to meet the demands of a growing patient base. SCULPTRA® SEMINARS
Dr. Fréchette has performed thousands of successful Sculptra® procedures with outstanding results and he is regarded as the industry leader. Dr. Fréchette’s pioneering work with Sculptra® from 2001 until his testimony before the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on March 24th, 2004 was critical for Sculptra®’s approval. After reviewing Dr. Frechette's photographic documentation presented during his testimony, the FDA unanimously approved Sculptra® for correcting facial wasting on August 3, 2004. Dr. Fréchette continues his dedication as the Principal Investigator for the long-term research study of Sculptra®.
In addition, Dr. Fréchette regularly holds FREE forums and seminars on the use of Sculptra® for both the correction of facial lipoatrophy (facial wasting) as well as the cosmetic applications of this revolutionary volumizer Those who attend are able to view an actual live Sculptra® treatment with “front-row” access to both doctor and patient and are welcome to ask any questions they might have. New attendees often find these seminars to be particularly beneficial as outside questions are addressed.
Seminars are beneficial for those looking for both reconstructive as well as cosmetic applications. Seminars are held approximately every month in New York and San Francisco. Seminars last approximately an hour to an hour and a half. Specific dates and times can be obtained by contacting us online anytime or by calling the appropriate office. Additionally, seminars in New York include information on the latest laser technologies and skincare available only through a physician's office.
SCULPTRA® ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SAP)
The seminars are also a great opportunity to learn more about and apply for the Sculptra® Assistance Program (SAP). Dr. Fréchette was instrumental in convincing Dermik to institute a Sculptra® Assistance Program for people earning under $80,000 annually. The Sculptra® Assistance Program (SAP) specifically applies to those looking to correct lipoatrophy who are HIV+ and can provide proof of income below $80,000.
There are two levels to the SAP. Applicants whose income is between $40,000 and $80,000 pay a portion of the cost of the Sculptra® product on a sliding scale. The approval process happens very quickly—usually it takes no more than a day to one business week. For applicants whose income is below $40,000, Dermik provides the Sculptra® at NO COST for the patient. These patients are only responsible for doctor’s fees at the time of each treatment.
